The Five Points Association is proud to announce the hiring of Nyjah Mitchell as its new Events & Marketing Manager, bringing fresh ideas, creative energy, and a deep passion for the community to one of Columbia’s most vibrant and historic districts.
In her new role, Mitchell will oversee the planning, coordination, and promotion of Five Points’ signature events, as well as lead marketing initiatives that highlight the district’s businesses, culture, and year-round programming. A Columbia native with more than a decade of experience in creative production and digital strategy, Mitchell is excited to bring her enthusiasm and vision to the position.
“I am really excited to bring new energy to Five Points! I cannot wait to share my creative ideas and be a part of this wonderful community that has given me so many great memories,” said Mitchell.
Five Points Association Executive Director Heather McDonald said Mitchell’s creativity, professionalism, and community-focused vision made her the perfect fit for the role.

Mitchell brings more than ten years of experience in creative production, live event management, and digital marketing. She has built a dynamic career at the intersection of entertainment, media, producing immersive events, leading cross-functional teams, and managing large-scale campaigns that connect with audiences and drive measurable results.
